I am fascinated with depicting places that at first glance seem as though they are unreachable.

Sometimes soft in focus, the images are composed to conjure up a sense of a fading dream or recollections from long ago. If a figure features, they are in a place unobtainable, a shadow or a ghost of a time now gone, of connection, fading. If the picture is apparently deserted, there is a trace or echo of movement, a series of lit windows or a recently used bike rack. Something transpired, recently.
